The Big Mopar! I bought Homer, this little 1982 Dodge Rampage pick-up from my stepdad a couple years back. We have owned him since the late 1980s, and he was replaced by a newer '84 model Rampage when he began making some bottom end engine noise. Well, after buying my house, I thought a little truck would be nice to have, for taking crap to the dumps etc. After a couple months in the shop, Homer came out with a rebuilt engine and transmission, all new brakes and suspension bits. The engine is mostly stock, except for a mild cam, some porting, and a bigger 2-bbl Weber carb I used to have on my Yugo. I've only put about 1,500 miles on him over the past two years, but I really enjoy driving him. |

Believe me, the paint on Homer is no where near this good. He was re-painted before we got him, and they didn't do a good job either. However, the tasty bright yellow Enkei wheels really set him off. These wheels use to be on my CRX, and I never got around to re-painting them. | |
Despite his short bed, Homer can haul quite a bit of stuff. I've had my Yamaha motorcycle in the back, and we even towed old Saabs up from California. |
